Chairman, Guinness Nigeria, Mr Babatunde Savage, on Thursday, lauded Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for his leadership qualities and sense of entrepreneurship.
Savage gave the commendation when he led the management of the company on a visit to Governor Okowa at Government House Annex, Warri, Delta State as it sets to introduce a new brand of beer to the market in the state.
The Guineas boss, who was accompanied by the Managing Director Guinness Nigeria PLC, Peter Ndegwa, while speaking, said the visit was to inform the governor of the introduction of the new brand of beer into the market.
Responding, Governor Okowa appealed to industrialists to utilise opportunities of quick returns on their investments to do business in the state.
This, according to him, is because raw materials for the manufacturing of different products abound in the state.
He noted that apart from the current peace and conducive business atmosphere in the state, skilled and unskilled labours are readily available to be tapped.
The governor assured that “Delta State is a peaceful state, any investor coming this way will have a lot of skilled labour because our people value education a lot.

“We also have unskilled labourers to feed the labour needs of the companies, as we are sure they will have quick returns on their investments.”
Okowa added that “we are trying to scale up the employment of our youths in the state and any meaningful venture that can take out our youths from the streets will be welcomed.”
He commended Guinness Nigeria Plc for adding a new brand of beer to its stock, urging the company to meet up with its social responsibilities and also create more job opportunities for the youths.
